I have been checking out Australian shop The Minimalist (.com.au) this morning. So many cool things to buy and they ship to New Zealand. I have my eye on the origami pendant.

Finished Pasifika Youth Space

I have mentioned vaguely in my previous posts about an office space I have been designing. Well this weekend the office space was completed and I have some pictures to share with you.  The brief was simply 'a colourful office space to be used for the pacific island community for training and lounging, with an admin area'. The budget was very tight and so I decided to utilise a lot of the inexpensive cane furniture found in second hand shops.  I recovered the cushions and combined the cane furniture with new furniture and fittings.  The walls were painted a pale grey and I chose a graphic wallpaper to provide a back drop to the touches of bright colours and neon. I am very happy with the result and it just goes to show what is possible with little money.

Wanda Harland design store

Sorry about my absence, I have started working out in Seatoun - how lucky am I? Can't wait for summer lunches on the beach...if only I could find someone to join me! That is the only bad thing about Seatoun is no one is out there so I'm a bit lonely! Anyone out there want a lunch buddy? 

 I did use my lunch break to do something useful and fun today, I visited the Wanda Harland Design store in Miramar ( they also have a shop at the bottom of the BNZ building). What an awesome little shop and so reasonably priced. I bought a couple of little pieces for the youth space I'm working on. Check out the website: http://wandaharland.co.nz/

Built in work stations

I am working on designing an office space at the moment and the brief calls for built in workstations. I've been doing some research and came across some pretty cool options. I am going to go with high gloss cabinetry and white work surface fixed to the wall. Watch this space for before and after photos!
