5 Pleasing Spaces - Masculine

Here are some pointers if you want to a create a space your partner/hubby will be comfortable in:

1. Choose thoughtful and interesting accessories and keep them to a minimum

2. Don't use too much pattern -  masculine spaces tend to incorporate stripes, plaids, and geometric shapes

3. Wherever possible use raw materials such as wood, leather, brick and concrete

4. When selecting colours opt for timeless hues of grey, navy, white and black. If you want to add warmth, greens and oranges are a good choice.

5. No dainty furniture, keep it sturdy and of a good size

Wedding decor

It's all go at the moment, on Thursday the house was photographed to go on the market (I'll share photos in a couple of weeks) and I'm decorating a wedding next week. The wedding is vintage inspired with soft pink and burgundy, I can't wait to see it all come together. Below are some photos that helped inspire the theme.

My style home

I am so excited about selling our current house and starting a whole new project. It's made me start thinking about what style of decor reflects my personal style and what kind of interiors get my heart racing. I love the colourful rooms I've created in this house, but next time around I want to create a more subdued and sophisticated colour palette and combine vintage furniture with modern styling. I've started collecting images of what I want to see in my dream home. What would your dream home look like?

I'm still here

I am struggling to get out of holiday mode but it's happening...slowly. This year is going to be VERY exciting and full on so make sure you stick around to see what I'm up to. There will be international travel, selling the house, starting new projects...! I think I'm going to kick it all off by treating myself to a fiddle leaf fig tree...

Living/dining concept

Last night I went to visit a client who I put together a scheme for just before Christmas. The young couple wanted to create an industrial inspired space with touches of colour. Below are the schemes I put together and although the space is not finished yet, you can get an idea of how it is coming together.

Wallpaper in a bathroom or powder room can look SO striking and it is cheaper than tiling the whole wall. As long as you have good ventilation then why not?
