Neons

Neons are doing it for me at the moment. Not sure who did this painting, but it was so cool I had to post it.
The trick to using neons is using them sparingly and with neutral colours.  The green and grey scheme below is one I am working on for a youth group office space. Can't wait to see it all come together.

Wallpaper is Apex in black white and grey by Cole & Son (which I found overseas and had shipped here for a fraction of the price of buying it here!)

Everybody's

My husband and I spend Easter weekend in Auckland and one of the highlights of our trip was having dinner at Everybody's.  It is down Fort Lane, past a hot dog stand, through a bar, up a stair case, down a corridor and finally behind a door...! I had their signature dish 'Plate of Pig' and it was delecious. We will definitely visit again next time we are in Auckland.

Finished kitchen

Our kitchen was finished on the weekend, and my husband and I are feeling pretty pleased with our efforts. With his handy-man skills and my design skills we have managed to create a space which is light-filled and contemporary.
