Do you like pale dusty pink? Here is some inspiration and my pics for the best pink home wares and accessories on the market at the moment. (BTW my dining room is pink and it looks so lovely with an oak table and white eames chairs...I'll share pics soon)

Canvas baskets from Anthropologie

I just love these canvas storage baskets from Anthropologie. They come in different styles and colours but my particular favorites are the the chevron stripe and dots! I have ordered some for the study to store bits and pieces in.

Belated Happy New Year

Alright it is time to come out of hiding and get back to work. I have actually been quite busy updating Domesticity's head quarters. I bought my very own electric sander and had a go at transforming a few trade me finds. I sanded a chair, desk and filing cabinet and the cost for all three was only $270! Who says you can't renovate on a budget if you are willing to put in some elbow grease.
I am nearly finished the office and I will have lots of pictures to share. In the meantime I'm trying to find the perfect office chair but my husband and I are disagreeing. I want a comfortable light coloured upholstered chair and he wants a swivel industrial one! Here are some of the chairs which could work...

Fashion & Interior Design

I have decided to start a new feature on my blog which combines two of my favourite things - fashion and interior design.  As you know a large aspect of creating a successful decor is being able to read a person's style from their appearance and personality. So with this in mind, here is my first fashion inspired concept board.

1. Cloud print from Crate & Barrel
2. Cushion from Redcurrent
3. Sound System By Geneva from Mildred & Co
4. Leather sofa from Freedom Furniture
5. Chair from Nood
6. Candle holders from Let Liv
7. Rug from Stacks Furniture
8. Coffee cup from Wanda Harland Design Store
9. Sideboard from Nood
10. cushion from Shelf Life
11. Rabbit from Shelf Life
12. Copper light from Collected
13. Wallpaper (brick) from Shelf Life

Zaidas

Loving Brooklyn Bagels new look. Is my fav cafe in Wellington (the food is soooo good) and now it has a decor to match - my only critisism is the floor, looks a liitle too unfinished.

Plates on the wall

What do you reckon? Is it cool to put plates on the wall? An old fashioned idea but I'm coming around, I think if it is done right - it can look great.
