5 Things Pleasing - 29/06/14

Hi everyone - I hope you had a good week! Domesticity had a few new opportunities this week so it's all go and very exciting. Here are five cool things I came across this week:

1. This looks so effective - room dividers made from rope!

3. Self-adhesive wallpaper that can be removed is not that new, but I have never seen it in plain white which allows you to paint it! For sale at CB2

4. These giant paper flowers by San Fancisco based artist and architect Tiffanie Turner are pretty amazing. A single flower can take upward of 35-80 hours to assemble from crepe paper. Read more here

Milk & Honey FAWC event

Saturday night was the Spice night at Milk & Honey in Ahuriri, Napier. The event was part of FAWC and was a great success - the food was delicious and the scheme I put together looked bright and festive.  I had to be thrifty, spray painting op shop vases and cutting paper garlands and making home made table runners. Check out pictures of the result below:

Daily Dream Decor apartment

This apartment was featured on Daily Dream Decor recently. It is only 44sqm but it is 44sqm of perfection - in my opinion. I love everything about it,  the fireplace, the beams, the colour scheme, the styling...

Not available on the app store

I am in love with this - three students (Caio Andrade, Rafael Ochoa, and Linn Livijn Wexell) came up with the idea of making "not available on the app store" stickers as a reminder to get kids away from the screen and into the real world. I think you could create a whole blog just leaving these stickers everywhere. It is nice to see people fighting back against "social media taking over the world". You can buy them here

3. I recently watched Her. It was a great movie, a bit like a snapshot of the future. Also the office space caught my eye, it was bright and funky and I hope the offices of the future look like it! Unfortunately I can't find a decent picture of it but if you watch it, you'll see what I mean!

Middle Eastern Spice Night at Milk & Honey

I have been given the fun job of decorating Milk & Honey restaurant in Napier for their middle eastern spice night which is apart of the Hawkes Bay Wine & Food Festival. I have opted for a bright scheme of oranges, golds and pink.  Keep an eye out for photos of the event in two weeks time.

Bluff Hill B&B

I stayed in the sweetest little b&b in Napier over Queen's Birthday Weekend. It was so beautifully decorated and came with homemade bread for breakfast - what more could you ask for!
