5 Things Pleasing 9/3/13

So what pleased me this week?

1. This living space with a picture window overlooking a stunning mosaic wall - perfection.

2. I love the simplicity of this kitchen diner. It would cost so little to achieve this look and yet it is so appealing. Light-filled, casual and welcoming.

3. I am a bit late to the Twilight party, but the first Twilight was on sky movies this weekend so I thought I'd give it a shot. I ended up having to watch all five! The Cullen's house caught my eye in the films, a beautiful architecturally designed home in a forest setting with large glass windows to capture the views.

4. I have seen this Hygge & West wallpaper before, but I particularly love this use of it in a bathroom with a yellow enamel light shade to replicate the yellow of the birds. Might have to copy this look.

5. It is my two year wedding anniversary tomorrow so I'm feeling the love. This quote by F Scott Fitzgerald caught my eye.

DIY home projects

Over on Pinterest I have been seeing a lot of DIY tips for around the house. Here a few I have come across which I love:

Wasabi Tape - there seem to be endless possibilities for wasabi tape.   Here it is used as picture frames and window blinds. You can even make headboards and wall art with it.

Colour of the week - Minty green

A little colour inspiration - this week minty green. I think this colour works best in small doses to add a pop of pastel. There are so many fun minty accessories out there at the moment.

5 Things Pleasing 2/3/14

1. I discovered the Superette online shop this week - there are lots of cool home wares on there.

2. Rattan - I'm not afraid to admit I like rattan, especially when it has a contemporary twist. I found these cool rattan pieces on tessuti.co.nz
3. Autumn - summer has officially ended (sad face). I don't know about you but I always find myself getting out a throw to snuggle up on the couch with as the temperature cools. Here are some of the cool throws I've seen around at the moment:

1. Paper plane
2. Superette
3. Country road
4. Paper plane
5. Let Liv
6. Superette
7. Milo & Mitzy

4. I am IN LOVE with Sanderson Picture Gallery Wallpaper and it comes in lots of colours!!

5. I found this great picture of Finc, one of my favourite cafes in Wellington.

5 Things Pleasing 23/02

This week my five things pleasing are:

1. The new Citta Design range - there are some VERY cool new pieces in the new collection. You can see some of items in my most recent fashion mood board. Here are some more:

2. I came across this study by Henry & Co by accident when I was looking for something else. I love the use of colour and texture, the blue grass cloth and purple wallpaper are beautiful.

3. My favourite furniture find this week is the Mademoiselle Polka Dot chair by Philip Stark for Kartell (Available at Back House).

4.There have been a few beautiful sunny days here in Wellington this week and so I've been fantasizing about dreamy outdoor spaces...

5. It's not new to see crates used as shelves and storage, but I love this image and how the milk crates continue onto the ceiling and the bright pops of colour of the fruit.
