So I'm starting to plan a big trip next year and one of the destinations we are going to is New York. I came across The Jane while hunting for quirky accommodation and now I have my heart set on staying there. Check it out:
Oh happy day! I can now buy dumplings any time I want instead of braving the cold at Left Bank Market or the vege market on Sunday. House of Dumplings has opened a takeaway shop on taranaki street. You should visit for the dumplings, but also for the effort they have gone to for the decor! On Dish they described it: "Kind of like an ancient Chinese haberdashery, but for food. The interior is clad with rough recycled wooden panels and canvas, whilst drawers, shelves and cupboards all appear stuffed with exotic spices and balls of string. Outside, House of Dumplings leans into the street thanks to a hut-like awning and bamboo covering."
I have been working on a wedding scheme this week and so I have been looking at images of beautiful table-scapes. I picked five of my faves to share with you.
VERY exciting day for Domesticity today!!! I received this email from the Editor of New Zealand House & Garden in my inbox this morning:
"Hi Nicola: Judging finished Monday, and your clever space is one of four category finalists in our Interior of the Year competition. It was a quality field.... so well done!
