Wedding styling 21 Feb 2015

I'm thrilled to share photos of the wedding I decorated on the weekend which was held at the Boat Shed here in Wellington. It was vintage inspired and I used brass accessories, lace table center pieces, burgundy and rose velvet ribbon, antique furniture and mismatched frames filled with family photos. Oh and old books.

It was a lot of fun and was so wonderful to help create a memorable day for the happy couple.

5 Pleasing Spaces - Masculine

Here are some pointers if you want to a create a space your partner/hubby will be comfortable in:

1. Choose thoughtful and interesting accessories and keep them to a minimum

2. Don't use too much pattern -  masculine spaces tend to incorporate stripes, plaids, and geometric shapes

3. Wherever possible use raw materials such as wood, leather, brick and concrete

4. When selecting colours opt for timeless hues of grey, navy, white and black. If you want to add warmth, greens and oranges are a good choice.

5. No dainty furniture, keep it sturdy and of a good size
