5 Things Pleasing 30/3/14

Slight delay, but here are my five things pleasing for last week.

1. I keep seeing the word LOVE appear in home schemes. Spot the LOVE.

2. I think you either love or hate the idea of a bathtub in the bedroom. To me it screams ultimate luxury and I particularly love this example:

3. I love this idea of stringing leaves as decoration above a dining table.
(not sure)
4. One of my fav places to visit when road-tripping to Napier is Bridge cafe in the Manuatu Gorge. It has the most beautiful garden and rustic interior - check it out next time you are out that way.

5. My other fav place to stop is Box of Birds, an amazing homewares shop in Shannon.

Pleasing spaces - Apartment Living

It seems these days (in Europe especially) people are trying to cram as much as they can into small spaces. We are a bit spoilt for space here in New Zealand, but with house prices going up some of us are being forced to downsize. With downsizing in mind, here are some pleasing small spaces I have come across...downsizing might not be so bad afterall.

5 Things Pleasing 21/3/14

I'm doing five things early this week because I'm off to Napier for the weekend. Here are my five design faves this week:

1. French Connection's latest furniture/homewares collection

2. I was so excited to come across Clare Elsaesser, an artist selling prints of her paintings on Etsy.

3. Gwyneth Hulse was a featured seller on Felt this week. I really like her modernist, geometric homewares

4. Ikea's limited-edition collection for 2014 "aimed at a growing number of young, creative city-dwellers faced with small living".

5. George & Willy launched the Tuesday Table as a part of their online store.

Styling requires a knack and discipline not to overdo it, but when it is done right, it is so lovely.
