The new Farrow & Ball store in New York’s Upper East Side has been wrapped in the company’s Lotus wallpaper. It looks amazing!!! What a cool idea. My sister is off to New York next week, maybe I should get her to go and check it our for my sake :D

FINISHED!!!

I am offiically finished my diploma in Interior Design! I got my last mark in the post this week. I am so happy to have done it, and I hope it is just the start of much more Interior Design to come!

I am now barrelling full speed ahead with the main bedroom re-vamp at my house and have nearly finished stripping the room. I have been looking at grey paint colours and am yet to decide on which one is the best. So far I have tried these two Dulux colours, and I think one is too blue and the other is too light, so maybe something in the middle would be perfect:

I have picked my drapes and rug and they are coming from the States, so should be here in a couple of weeks.

So I think it is fair to say this bank holiday weekend will be spent DIYing around the house. Wish my luck...

I came across this lovely photography company called littlebrownpen.com when I was scouring Etsy.com. They take photographs that "celebrate the city’s intimate details, often overshadowed by iconic landmarks".  I think they are beautiful. My favourite pictures are those taken as a part of the yellow collection:

Grey bedrooms

I have been so busy lately I've barely had any time to come and visit my poor neglected blog. Now that a lot of wedding plans are taking shape nicely I'm going to focus my attention back on the decorating the master bedroom before christmas. I also have three questions left on my last module and only until 18 October to do them! The pressure is on. I have found some pictures of lovely grey bedrooms for inspiration.

Brisbane Art Museum

Well, I'm home from Bali and I had a lovely time. It was such a culturally rich place and nice to be out of my comfort zone for a while. On the way home we stopped in Brisbane for the day and I had a chance to look around the Brisbane Art Museum. I found the minimalistic building as visually striking as the art work it houses. I took some pictures while I was there:

David Dalton's loft apartment

I'm off to Bali tomorrow, so no updates a for a couple of weeks - sorry! Before I go, I found these great pics on homelife.com.au of designer David Dalton's loft apartment. I am completely in awe of the dining room and it's framed view of the city below. 

Marie Olsson Nylander's home

I came across these pictures of Swedish interior designer Marie Olsson Nylander's home in Arild, Sweden. I love how the floors, walls and ceilings are white so the furniture almost looks as if it's floating. There are so many interesting and unique things in this house, it's hard to know what to look at first. I particularly love the staircase.

Vintage crate

I bought this cool vintage crate off Trade Me and put it in the dining room filled with Italian water bottles.

Snow at my house

My house in karori got a battering with snow last night (and today I suspect).
