Embassy Deluxe

I went to checkout the new Embassy Deluxe last night. The Embassy Deluxe is situated below the Embassy's main auditorium and was designed by the architects Indyk.  They have used tiles from the original heritage cinema to create harmony, as well as many other geometric tiles, but I thought the new area felt more Moroccan in style, whereas the rest of the embassy feels more art deco to me. I love the space they have created, and I can see myself popping down there just for a drink even if I'm not seeing a movie.  I'm not so sure about the almost "alien space ship" tunnel leading down to the new bar though.

If you're down that end of Courtney Place, definitely worth taking a look.

Cool cafe in Napier

I was in Napier for the long weekend organising wedding bits and pieces and stopped off at the Photo Gallery cafe on Tennyson Street. I love the ecelectic decor they have created and their use of old painted doors as trestle tables.

Hotel Notre Dame Paris

Slated dining chair by Terrain

I came across this great dining chair by Terrain. It is made from oak and it's like a reinvented park bench/vintage school chair. They would create a cool rustic edge to any dining room. Bonjour!

I bought this cute little Bonjour! rug for the empty spot by my front door from Urban Outfitters a couple of weeks ago. It will make me smile every time I come home.  I hope it arrives soon!

Sydney

Well I'm back in rainy windy Wellington. I didn't make it to Sibella Court's shop in Sydney unfortunately. But I did see a lot of amazing interior design and have attached a few pictures of elegant spaces, as well as a few quirky things that caught my eye.

Christmas table

We had christmas on the deck in the sunshine and I took a few pics of our table, which ended up being more picnic-themed than christmas-themed! (Excuse the date stamp, it was wrong!)
