I came across Xanthi bar and restaurant when I was in Sydney back in January. I stood outside for ages looking at the interior design and even tried to take a picture, but my camera didn't do it justice. Today Xanthi was covered in The Design Files by Lee Tram Lam and so I have a chance to borrow their photos for my blog. Xanthi was designed by Luchetti Krelle and if you're in Sydney Westfield, go to the top floor and check it out - it's worth it.
Wow! This is some serious avante garde designing! The ceiling looks like the interior of a giant tent with its soft curves giving a delicate atmosphere over the entire restaurant. Although I think this would not go well with some of our claustrophobic friends since the restaurant doesn't seem to have windows by the look of it. Yet, great design!
