Happy days!
Well, last night my wonderful boyfriend asked me to marry him and so we are in a celebratory mood today! And it's Friday! I'm all abuzz thinking about weddings, and I've always wanted a barn wedding so here are some beautiful pictures to help me get inspired!

Wall of frames
I love the effect of a wall of frames, all different sizes and shapes, staggered and with no apparent order. I've started my own picture wall at home, and I hope it will grow over the years and become an impressive feature wall.

Bill Compton's house - True Blood
The new season of True Blood started last week, and last night we got a good look at Bill Compton’s house, which has had a complete overhaul now that he is 'king'. Designer Suzuki Ingerslev has done a great job turning the house into a “old Hollywood style meets Southern plantation”. I think it looks great. I especially love the chandeleir in the entrance hall.

Surface View
I love the idea of using this vintage map window film as a bathroom block-out. It gives you something to look at in the bath and gives you privacy and still lets the light through! Film by Surface View.

Zinio Digital Magazines
If you are a fan of interior design magazines like me, you probably spend a fortune on them. It is just too expensive to buy every single one and so I found this great website http://zinio.com/ where you can download the electronic version for a fraction of the price. I bought a subscription of 9 issues of Elle Decor which is normally around $20 an issue in the shops, for $15! There is a massive selection from all over the world.

Lili Diallo
It's going to be cold this weekend, so I went to the library at lunch time to get some reading material. Came across a book by Lili Diallo, a Brooklyn based designer who works for Domino. Looking forward to flicking through her book "Details" while sitting under the heat pump!

Trelise Cooper Wellington store
If you are on Lambton Quay in Wellington, walk along to The Old Public Trust Building and check out the Trelise Cooper Store. Even if you aren't buying anything, it is worth taking a look at the beautiful space she has created. The decor consists of Trelise Cooper fabric and wallpaper, Kartell chair, and wrought iron chandeliers which compliment the high beamed ceilings. There is even a water feature.

Hotel Missoni Kuwait
A new Missoni hotel has opened in Kuwait and I love the rich colours and textures used in the interior design. It is unmistakably Missoni and so luxurious. Imagine getting out of the shower and drying yourself off with a Missoni towel and putting on a Missoni bathrobe - heaven!

Crate&Barrel
It used to be that you were safe from spending money when you are at home. Now with internet shopping, it's dangerous to be bored at home with a credit card! On the weekend, I discovered that Crate&Barrel in the US is now shipping to New Zealand. I once bought a lovely green candle holder from Crate&Barrel when I was in San Francisco on holiday. They sell lots of lovely homewares and furniture. Shipping is expensive, but worth it if you find something you have to have. I found some curtains which will be perfect for the french doors in the dining room - had to have them. Also bought a centrepiece bowl in the same fabulous yellow.
